Here it is, the last day of the year 2011.
I look back into the pages of all that has happened
and the words that fill it just amazes me.

It's hard to believe how long ago some things has gone by
yet they stay so fresh in my mind;
while others seem so far gone and distant
but they came along not too long ago.

Reading those pages brings back so many feelings.
Feelings of excitement and joy brought by fond memories
and also a sense of lost and sadness to all I had to say goodbye to.

Some pages I have left blank because they were unimportant days
or at least I never did anything special on those days.
Then some were left blank because they are too painful to write
during those days but I filled some of them in again today.

When I look at these pages, I truly see God's hand writing in them.
They were all my choices but He was there everyday.
I would never have been able to stand here and smile
if it wasn't for God's grace and I mean it.
I am able because He is able.

Honestly, I am pretty scared to say this but
I know that I wont have it any other way
because He always gives me His best.

So, God would you please surprise me once again in 2012?

9. A lovely home. There is really no better place than my home.

10. My country, Malaysia. Despite your flaws, I love you all the same because I just can't help myself.

The Last Swing

Today I realise that most people's favourite month is the month of December. Indeed there are plenty of reasons to like December. The kids are on holiday, Christmas is on it's way, then right after New Year comes. I love December for all those reasons too but my personal reason for loving December so much is not even because my birthday falls on this particular month.

I love it because it marks the ending of another year and particularly this year because it was such a tough year in every aspect of my life. Every single time I think back to the month of January, I really had no idea so much things could come by in 12 short months. Almost every thing that happened were incidents and opportunities that had never even crossed my mind.

I won't deny it, it has been a terribly tough year and a part of me really hope that next year would be much easier. I mean, can more things really happen in a year?

Yet I know it has been a good year. Life can be tough but it is always a good life. Life is good whether you're going through it easily or so tough till we think we can go on no more because to be given life is good in itself and for that I'm thankful. I'm thankful I'm alive today making it through 2011.

Somewhere in the middle of this year I had a question that popped into my mind. I asked myself what will happen to me if all the pillars in my life was broken down one by one. And now I know the answer. I will still be standing tall (at 5ft only :) ) and strong because my God who laid His life down for me holds me through it all and that was all I needed to know.

I have always loved going for walks but I never go on any at home.
And yes, i am going to blame it on the tropical weather and sun for it or maybe it is just me.

Sometimes I do think to myself that maybe I'm just a lazy person who like to think I like walks who actually really doesn't like doing anything at all. Hmm. After today, I'm pretty sure that is not true and I'm just going to continue to blame it on the sun.

I'm really excited on going for another walk soon. I do really need more fresh air. I need to keep going. Thank you for the amazing scenery, God. I needed it. And even if that sun comes out, I want to see myself walking down the path.

I know. It's all wrong. By rights we shouldn't even be here. But we are. It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end.

Because how could the end be happy?
How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer.

Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now.

Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something.

oh yeah, thats where we are.

I can't believe I actually got to watch Westlife perform again!
The first time I watched them perform in Malaysia was back
in 2000 and it was the first ever concert I watched.

They really do bring back so many good memories
that I've had when I was young, especially with the Lokas.
Oh, How I wish you girls could watch it with me!

The show was just amazing in every way,
better than I expected.
They still look just as good (hehe)
and I really have to say that they can sing live so well.
I am not a big fan of pop songs but I can't help but
admit that I too fall for their cheesy love songs.

Hello there,

It has been some time since I wrote anything here :)
So here I am, half way through my finals.

It has been good so far and I am thankful for it.
All praise to God!
I thank Him for His peace that guards my heart.
I know it can be anything else but Him
because there is no way Vic Kie can be this chilled!

It has been around 4 months or more since I was last home.
Sometimes I feel like I am placed here all alone
with nothing to hold on to.
I can't pretend that it is easy and
on some days it just feels impossible.

But now I know I could depend on nothing,
nothing but Jesus.
I'm quite sure there was no other way that
I would have learned to depend on Him only.

So, I shall be thankful for today and the days ahead.
That He is always here, never letting me go.

when something lost is found!

How great, how joyful is the feeling when we find
that one thing we have been looking for!

After much searching for my black wool scarf,
there wasn't much choice left for me but to give up.
And at that precise moment when all hope was lost,
I saw a black object at the corner of the hall.
The excitement kept building up as each step I took,
till finally I had it in my own hands.
I knew at last I have found what was lost.

This is the second time this month that God has helped me
find the things I thought I would never be able to see again.
I knew the chances were unlikely but He always
prove to me that prayer work miracles.
And all that was needed was to trust in Him.

The joyous feeling of finding something is
undeniably remarkable.
I guess that is just a part of how God feels,
when we come running back into His loving arms!

Sometimes, I still find it hard to believe that

I'm in my final year of law.

Time just seems to fly so fast. (i've said this so many times)

It felt like it wasn't so long ago that I was

trying to decide which degree to choose.

And now here I am, midway through my final year.

We only have one life and one time to do it right.

We have no extra minutes or replays.

And I want to give my best and enjoy every

You never knew what you've had until it's lost

Today evening, I received a message from a person whom I

do not know asking me if I have lost my thumbdrive.

I vaguely remembered that I have used it on Monday and

was quite sure I did not left it in the library or anywhere else.

But still I started to search for it in my room and realised

my little tiny adorable ginger bread man thumbdrive

was no where to be found.

Oddly enough, I didn't even knew where or when I lost it.

I guessed it might have fell out of my bag when I took my keys out.

After contacting the Mr Nice and thanked him a million times,

I got my thumbdrive back! :D

I still can't believe that it got found and that someone would

take the trouble to hunt down its owner.

Thinking back, it could have dropped anywhere and

all my songs, pictures and documents could have been lost,

just like that.

You could say 'I'm lucky' but I wouldn't exactly agree.

I think I'm just blessed to have it back again!

Now, I understand how the shepherd felt when he had

found his one lost tiny sheep. :)

what a month it was! :)

Lovely in every way and to end it with a visit to Hertfordshire and London was just amazing in every sense. This month has definitely been alot easier than the previous month. I can finally say I feel settled and have even found comfort in my little room in Aberconway.

I am continually amaze by the company I have found here in Cardiff. It is encouraging and it reminds me that even when I feel alone, He shows me He is there through the people He place in my life. Looking back at my previous posts, I realised I have been writing alot about God lately. I guess I could say I have other interesting experiences that I could write about but really nothing seems to amaze me more than His grace for me everyday.

It's because I know without Him I know I could never sit here in my chair and smile thinking about the days that has passed me by with contentment and a heart filled with joy. Sometimes I do feel so down and broken or downright lost, but time and time again no one else comes to pick me up the way He does.

It is so true,

The weather (or rather the wind) really got me this time!

Last Friday, my friends and I decided to head down to Cardiff Bay for a look and I had a really good time. We had buffet lunch at Cosmo to satisfy our chinese cravings and then walked around for the whole day till it started to drizzle.

It's been a tough week so far as I have been very very busy. There are a few things that I have to settle like my fees, buying my textbooks, getting my assignment done and the list goes on. It was not so much about the fact that I was busy that bothered me, rather I fell into the pit of worry. I admit that I was worrying about mistakes that I cannot instantly fix and in return caused me to be even more careless.

I worried when I should have trust. I had lost my focus.

And yet through all the mistakes and worry, someone was just waiting there to get me out of all the mess. All I had to do was ask. Despite the fact that it has been a difficult week, God has been showing me more evidently that He is real and that He will lead me to the right path. There is an easier way than the road of worry and the answer is simply, Jesus.

Looking back to what has happened throughout the week, I thank God for His grace and strength to get through the week of hectic schedule, for the people He has brought along my path to encourage me to persevere and for reminding me of how much He loves me and also, you.

I'm getting a 3 day weekend break as I will be going down to Gloucester tomorrow morning until Sunday! :D

Hello from Cardiff

Hello, hello :)

I know that this is such a delayed post since I have already arrived here for almost 2 weeks! Classes has in fact already started and I have even handed in my first assignment. Oh yeah, the picture above is actually the main building of Cardiff University. I find it very beautiful. Sadly, the Cardiff Law Building isn't half as nice. heh.

So, how am I finding Cardiff so far?

If i were to answer great, I would be lying. Having said that, Cardiff is a really nice city and I am having the time of my life here. I guess it is just that anywhere far from home just wouldn't be as great. It's because I miss home, I miss my family & friends, my Xabi, my room and also FOOD. One of the things that I had to swiftly learn here is to cook! I have more pictures of food in my camera rather than sceneries. haha.

Other than being home sick and food sick, everything else is fine and pleasant. Im still getting used to classes, my accommodation and how things work here and I'm very glad to say that I think everything is going on better than I thought it would be. I don't find Cardiff to be so great now but I know I will grow to like this place more and more each day because everyday I am making new memories, learning new things and experiencing life like I will never ever do in another time of my life. One thing that I'm sure is that God is here with me and that He is good.

Because He is the only one that gets me through each day with a smile!

I'm back from camp :)

But the sad sad news is that I'm not feeling too well myself. :(

My throat hurts and I was hit with a fever last night.

So, I hope everybody else will take good care of their health &

Malacca : Out & About

During this holiday, much to my delight I was able to visit a few places but never had I went for a trip as random as the one I had last Saturday. I woke up late in the morning on Saturday and while I was having my breakfast at 1o, my dad just randomly decided that we would go down to Malacca for a day trip. By 11.15 my whole family was already in our car and ready to go!

We went down to have some good food and also to support my cousins who came down from Sabah to compete with other independent chinese schools in track & field. :) I quite like Malacca and I have already been there trice this year, I find it to be a nice place to go when I just feel like getting out of the city. It was a good day and it is always nice when the Lokas reunite :D I hope to see the Ong sisters again soon!

Talking about trips, I'll be away during the Merdeka weekend to go for my church camp in Kuantan (yay!). I bet everybody is looking forward to the long weekend ahead.

Oops, caffeine does it again

I have a problem.

To be exact,

a problem with coffee.

I just found out recently that I have a low tolerance towards caffeine and I react quickly when I consume too much of it. sigh. I am not a person who love having drinks with caffeine often because I much prefer sky juice most of the time. However, i start realising my problem a few months ago when I drank a cup of coffee after dinner one day just because I felt like it. The effect of the one little cup was horrid! :( My sister was the poor victim who had to listen to me uttering nonsense till 3am in the morning. And by the way, I also tend to behave really high and hyperactive as i mentioned in my old post.

So after that incident, I told myself that I will never repeat it again but thanks to my negligence I drank a cup of white milk tea in Hong Kong for dinner. However, i was still a little optimistic that a cup of tea wouldn't affect me much since i was so dead tired.

Wrong.

And how wrong I was. :(

I didn't stay up till 3am this time but at 6 am instead! oh yeah, i ended up watching discovery channel in the middle of the night. The show was 'In the womb : Dogs'. Great show! Recently, this week to be exact, I had a huge cup of tea for lunch. Wrong move again. Apparently, it was too much and I was in hyperactive mode again but because I couldn't burn off the excess energy, I felt depressed and nervous instead.

So, my alternative to a nice hot drink now is

a cup of hot chocolate or cocoa

(good stuff!)

P/S : Please do not offer me a cup of coffee/tea (a small cup is okay) unless you intend to help me burn of the energy by listening to m gibberish till late in the night. thank youu. :)
